Mr. Đồng Đắc Quan is a worker at the Bicycle and Motorbike Tyre and Tube Plant, Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC). His daily work is closely linked to the bicycle and motorbike tube production line, where every small operation directly affects product quality. He was recently awarded a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Worker in Q2/2026 by the General Director of the Vietnam National Chemical Group.

Genuine Effort and Thought from Daily Work

Mr. Quan is dedicated to the tyre tube production workshop, where meticulous attention to every detail directly impacts product quality. His work may be quiet, but his practical concerns on the production line led him to devise equipment improvements that have made work easier for his colleagues and enhanced product consistency.

In 2025, he was recognised for Outstanding Task Completion. His labour productivity increased by 159.8% compared to the previous year. That same year, he was awarded the Grassroots Emulation Fighter title.

An Innovation Born from a Real Drawback

Previously, the cutter jig for the tyre tube splicing machine was made from solid plastic and fixed to the slide rail with bolts. This method had many limitations: tightening the bolts often damaged the threads or broke the jig, making it impossible to fix the jig securely to the rail. As a result, the cut edge of the tube blank was not straight, affecting the quality of the tube joint, and the jig would wear out quickly and need frequent replacement.

From this reality, Mr. Đồng Đắc Quan improved the structure of the part attached to the slide rail, switching from plastic to steel to increase rigidity and durability. The part that connects to the cutting blade remains plastic for insulation. The innovation "Improvement of the Tyre Tube Splicing Machine Cutter Jig" was recognised by Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company.

This improvement not only makes the jig more durable and reduces replacement costs, but also enhances the quality of the tube joints—something every machine operator strives for.

Recognition for Steadfast Effort

Previously, in 2024, Mr. Đồng Đắc Quan received a Certificate of Merit from the General Director of Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company. By Q2/2026, he was again honoured by the Vietnam National Chemical Group for outstanding work.

Such awards rightly recognise those who not only fulfil their tasks but also have the initiative and determination to improve their own work and that of their colleagues. The proactivity and creativity of workers like Mr. Quan form the foundation for the company to maintain quality, sustain its brand reputation, and achieve long-term market success.
